My Favourite Place In Bandung

Back, back, back :)))
It's me again, tired as I was, just back from Citos after having a fun day out with my friends. And here I am, in front of my dearest laptop and ready to write type!

This assignment is about making a descriptive text and I wanted to describe other than the usual describing topic, so I decided to describe the place I love the most in Bandung. The place's called The Valley. It is one of the most beautiful place I've ever visited!

This is what The Valley looks like in the morning

This is what The Valley looks like at night

What is The Valley anyway? Why do I love to go to this place? Well, The Valley is a bistro cafe and a resort. By bistro, it means (in its original Parisian incarnation) a small restaurant serving moderately priced simple meals in a modest setting (looked it up in Wikipedia.com :P) but it is actually a bit more like an open bar to me. They served a variety of food in that place, but the light and semi-light meals are the best (in any kind of situation. you'll know what I mean if you keep on scrolling down the page). It opens everyday all day long but the best time to visit it is when the nightfall. Or if you prefer different atmosphere, you can try having a brunch there.

The Valley is located in
Jl. Lembah Pakar Timur 28, Bandung, DAGO with the telephone number +62 22 253 1052 (I don't know the exact address, so I have to look for it in the Internet. I only know it is located in Dago, but I figured out that maybe you will need a full address in case you're interested in visiting it and the telephone number if you want to make a reservation). You won't miss it because that place has a gigantic name plates.
It is usually pretty crowded knowing how popular it is these days. If you want to have a great spot while dining in, you need to book for it first. The best place for you to be seated in this restaurant, is the spot near the clifside. From that place you can see the panorama of Bandung at night, covered with thousands of lamp that looks like an ocean of stars.

The Scenery Of Bandung From The Valley

What's so special about this place is, its atmosphere and scenery. Every single night, The Valley is bright and stunning with thousand bulbs in every corner of the place. There is a big cyprese in the middle of that place and also covered in bulbs. I think you should see it by yourself to see how beautiful that place is. And the atmosphere, it is so breezy out there and so...romantic. With a beautiful scenery and great music with great food, it is a perfect place to launch a dream date, hahaha.

About the food, and why me and my family prefer light food like appetizer and dessert and pre-main course to the main course itself, it's because the food there are relatively expensive. Not only because it is expensive, but the true mission my family and me brought to that place is to sit back, relax, enjoy the scenery and not to dine in. So we usually order some tea, cappuccino, assorted cakes, shortcakes, soups, pastry to warm up the night. And it beats the main course as well. We tried a steak in the other night but we promised ourselves to not order it again (do not ask why). Another great food for you to try is the pasta. Lasagna, spaghetti are also a wise choices with good taste as well. My dad's friend said that the wine are not pretty enjoyable but we couldn't judge it because we do not drink.

Last topic before I end the post, is I'd like to describe about my favorite cuisine in The Valley. It is.....The Zupa Zuppa Soup!

My Favourite Cuisine In The Valley :)))

I'm pretty sure that you have already know this kind of cuisine, even already taste it before or just like me, have fall in love in this cuisine, but this one is really really different. It is much more creamier and softer than the other zuppa soup I've tasted before. It's sweet and salty and creamy but it doesn't make you have a nausea either. This thing is one of the reason I keep going back to The Valley. The pastry (or some of you guys called it 'the bread') on top of it, has the perfect level of crustiness (whoo, i made my own word) and blends very well with the soup. Well basicly, THIS is something that you mustn't forget to try as soon as you visited The Valley.

Other than The Zupa Zuppa Soup, I also love the Chocolate Cheese Cake and Hot Cappuccino but somehow I feel a strange ingridient in it. My dad said it was some kind of rhum (but not rhum) that people use to add if they live in a cold area, but nevertheless, they are awesome as well. I have to end up my post because it's getting dark and I need to have a rest, please. So I'm leaving. I hope this count as a descriptive text. (I planned to write a descriptive text but in the middle of the text-building I get carried away, haha. My bad :P)

Have a great weekend Blogger! :)

Unforgettable Moment in School

*singing*
Sing about that oh love it's a brittle madness
I sing about it in all my sadness
It's not falsified to say that I found God so
Inevitably well it still exists, pale and fine I can't dismiss
And I won't resist and if I die well, at least I tried

What's up with that song? It's the song I love for the moment. The title is 'On Love, In Sadness' by my favourite singer of all times Jason Mraz! It really really represent every unforgettable moment in my life, from love to sadness :)

This week's assignment is about: My Unforgettable Moment in MHT

I have sooo many unforgettable moment in this school eventhough I only have been staying here for 5 months. The first time I get to live at dorm, the first work program of the student organization, my first 100 in hard science (Math), the math olympiad, the science party at IPB, those are one of so many unforgettable moments in MHT. But this time I'm going to talk about the moment that I'll never forget for the rest of my life:

The Time Me and My Friend Played Truth or Dare

I believe you have already known the game 'Truth or Dare'. It's nothing special, you just spin a bottle, wait for it to stop and whoever is in the way the bottle is pointing, she is the lucky one. But this is not just an ordinary truth or dare, it's The Ultimate Truth or Dare. Let me tell you how it started.

It is Wednesday night, Selma, Putri, Ayu, Hani, and Vinny were in my room, we talked about different things while studying Biology. I told them stories about my previous school and told them the game I used to play then. One of them were Truth or Dare. They're interested and willing to tried the game. And the game started.

Here's the result:
Selma: Braid her hijab to school
Ayu : Hair-do her hair like one of the Sailormoon character
Hani : Tied up her hair in two to school and act in the canteen as a broken heart girl and flirt Krishna
Putri: Tied up her hair in two as well
Vinny: Braid her hijab too
Lindy: (I get the most -.- *sigh) Have two ponytails and wear bandana, act like a lonely woman in canteen, forced to confess that I liked Adam P, and walk like a model in the catwalk.

It's Thursday and we all have to fulfill our task. Everyone were suprised and I think they sure think that we have taken a wrong pill on the other night. No one refuse to do their task and no one seem to take it seriously because they know it is only a game. We did it all and it was really fun, really crazy and really bold. We laughed at almost every occassion and it did spread some gossip too (risk -.-)

Well they played it for the second time at thursday night and did the task on the next day but I didn't follow the game because I have to attend a meet and greet with my fan s in Sultan Hotel I have to study for the biology competition in IPB with Tiroy and Hana. Well if you want to know what happen on the other day you can click here.

Here are some photos. Enjoy!

My Dormitory Life

Hey Ho, BlogSista ;)
It's me again. I hope you haven't miss me so much that you can cry because of it. Kidding.
Well, I'm writing my blog to fulfill my second english task: to write about my dormitory life. I must admit that I am thankful to my english teacher because if it wasn't for her, I will never take care of my blog again. Hahaha.

My Dormitory Life

Not like any other student who entered dorm immediately after they started go to my high school, I choose to stay at home and took a round trip every day from my house to school. But I think it is such a waste of energy and money, besides I don't have anyone at home to teach me in case I don't know how to do a case (which happen like a gazillions of time)

Sooo, I decided to start living in dorms. I still remember the exact date I get to live at dorm: 17 August 2009. My roommate is Putri :))) At first,we stayed at room 219 but then we are moved to room 214 because the room we lived in is leaking :(

A week after I entered the dorm, the holy month arrived. I must do fasting. It is a little bit different to do fasting without my family. On the contrary, I have to do fasting with my friends. At first it was not comfortable seeing how I've spent my whole fasting month with family but it turned out really fun.

Dormitory life have 90 degree differences with my house. I must wake up really early and pray Subuh at the mosque. I experience a sleeping problem for some time but now I sleep as tight as a panda :p And there's no TV! I'm sure I'll be as primitive as a caveman if I do not pick up information in the internet. And we have a second mother in here, a woman named Mrs. Eci. We call her Bunda. She is a very strong woman and have an amazing ability to wake people up.

My friends in the dormitory are very kind to me :)
They often come to my room and study together. They also love to have a sleepover if we are facing a great exam tomorrow, like what we did when we are facing the mid term examination. We also love to play UNO! together, play piano and guitar, play truth or dare, watching movies, eating pop-mie (:P) together. We also enjoy celebrating and tricking our birthday-friend. We also loved to chat in the dining room about almost everything, from school life to dreams and imagination. The following names are the people who often come to my room: Hani, Ayu, Fio, Selma and Syifa.

Like I said to one of my friend: Living in this dorm is like living in a huge house with a lot of younger sister and older sister. So, I am thankful that I am given these kind of dorm. I hope to write many more about my dorm but it's getting late and I have much much more assignment to do, so I guess that's it. Please wait for another assignment! ;)

OH MY GOD!

Hi bloggers (wave)

I'm writing this post in a super-panicked situation. I am going to face a really REALLY important competition tomorrow. And I'm panicked! (Haniyyah Hasna, my bestmate, neighbour is sitting right beside me and calming me down (hahaha))

Well, back to the topic. Overall, I don't think I'm ready. Yet. I'm really really scared if I do not manage to win the competition. Because this competition means a lot to my school, my teacher, my friends and even to myself. This is my big opportunity to make my big entrance in the debating world, but I just keep panicking. I don't know what else to do.

I've called my mum (best mom in the world :P) and she said it's okay if I did not manage to make it through, as long as I have tried my best. My friends also told me so. Now, I'm a (little bit) relieved. They are really really nice to me (Hani said: especially me!) I do need this kind of friends, hehehe. Thanks guysssss, me heart you :)))))))

Daily School Life

I'm baaaaack and I'm ready to write about my daily school life :))

Overall, I like my new school. It's (hmm, what's the right word)...different. It is really really different from my previous school, 109 Junior High School. There's nothing wrong in being different (don't get me wrong), I love differences. I love my school, I really do.

I am a 10th grader now, BUT I must finish my regular high school lessons in this year! Acceleration? No. In the 11th grade we are categorized into an olympiad clas and we only learn the olympiad subject that we choose. We also going to prepare ourselves to take The Cambridge A Level test, which (if we managed to make it through) allow us to enter any university in the world! It is amazing FANTASTIC! And in the 12th grade we'll prepare ourselves for National Exam, Pre-University Material and do some research? Cool? ;)

I get up at 4.30 a.m every day to pray Subuh at the mosque and my lessons start at 06.30 a.m. What's special about my school, is that we only learn hard science subject once a week, but for seven hours in a row!
The girls also pray Jum'at every Friday which is usually only done by men. We use a moving class system, but since two weeks ago, hard science class has become permanent in the Laboratory Building.

We go home (to the dorm actually) everyday without a specific time. Sometimes you need to stay a bit longer in class if your teacher is holding a tutorial (which I love <3).>Gambang Kromong. It is our state traditional music. I happen to be one of the main player in the group. I play an instrument called Kromong. And I'm also one of the member in my school's Student Organization. I am it's secretary :)

I belong to the X.1 class. My class consist of 21 crazy students. Our recent favourite activity is 'Truth Or Dare'. We played it several times this week and it was fun! We learn Chemistry on Monday, Soft Science on Tuesday and Friday, Physic on Wednesday, Biology on Thursday and Math on Saturday

My School Member <3

We always study every night at dorms because if we don't, it means we are preparing ourselves to get the worst score ever imagined. We usually create a small group and study with our group. It is fun because we can discuss and share information. Especially if we have someone smart in our group :P

Well, I think that's all about my school, I'll try my best to be the best in this school! Ganbatte Lindy!! :)))

Let Me Introduce You To My New School!

Heyyyy Guyyyss! :)))

I haven't post anything for a long time, have I?
Well, recently I've been busy running away from paparazzi studying because my new school is just HECTIC.

What? I haven't told you guys about my school? Hohoho, my bad. Okay then, let's start the story.

Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Unggulan Mohammad Husni Thamrin Jakarta

Yep, that is my school's full name. What's with the 'unggulan' thingy? Well, this school is designed to prepare their student as one of the medal achiever in many subjects of Scientific Olympiad. That's why our school's schedule is almost as busy as a celebrity.

And this is what (a part) of my school looks like:

It is Big, It is Cool, It is as complete as a sport club.

We have this huge football field, a (you can call it) gymnasium, swimming pool, fitness room. We also have a big auditorium and even a mini theater!

Cool isn't it? Yes it is! Are you jealous already? Hahaha, just kidding ;) Soon, I'm going to post all about my 'Daily School Life', it is one of my English task that Mrs. Desi gave me. Well, I think I'll stop now, I have to take a brunch (breakfast lunch, i haven't take any breakfast but it's almost lunch -__-) first. I'm staaarrviiiingggg. Bye bye!

Love, Lindy
